J94 'Wheldale' Update

Thinking cap on and now white rims...

 What a difference the white rims make...

Back in March I purchased a J94 with no motor a little distressed etc, and thought "what ever, it's a project"
So here it is resurrected as 'Wheldale' ...The wheels should have white rims but I am not steady enough these days, but we shall see. It is now DCC and runs like a dream...

Scratch made step and drain pipe.

This is my lastest J94 'Whiston'

 I think I will have to make a J94 Heritage layout, Now that would not be a bad idea?

J50 conversion

 Lima body stripped of detail and replaced. Notice front wheel splash guard nd sand boxes, also track guards.

 

 3 piece smoke box dart and home made whistle above.

Slaters steel and brass loco sprung buffers and real coal in bunker.

Etched brass rear grills.

Take note Tank lining (illusion of) and front sand box strapped to top step. 

All built on a Bachmann pannier chassis. And a Ardsley number.

J94 No.10

I picked this up on ebay for £26.15, It appears that the body has never been removed and after a strip and oil it is as near mint given it's age......It came with original box and Dapol instructions also in good condition...

 After looking at original photo's it seem that hand rail should be green and the smoke box black plus red con rods, But I will see what else I can find...

 Deffinatly a nice model...

This is my ninth J94  NCB  "Joseph" .......When will I ever stop?....The couplings will have to go!
