Scratch building on the Fan...

After I emptied my off cuts box and decided to have a go at building a small works...And this is my effort so far...
When working with Wills sheets, I never throw any left over bits and pieces away. ie: the gable around the gibbet is made up of 6 pieces and the whole roof area's are made up from 8 pieces...

The windows are glazing bars from a brass fret...

I am looking to put some lights in the buildings and it is not it's final resting place...Nothing is set in stone. It is still work in progress

Below is my latest acquisition which arrived this morning ,
The British Railways Bedford OY 3Ton GS

I just had to put this shot in below...
The wagon is kit built, I think it's a Parkside Dundas?

Pottering on the Fan...

Well, There has not been a great deal happening on the layout's, Just mainly pottering about. But one thing I did do is to make a short single fiddle for the shunting fan.

The test run gets the thumbs up. It's just about right for this size of project...

The next thing is to sort out power for lighting...me thinks...

I just thought I would throw this one in as a different point of view.....

I thought you may like this view as the tramp tends to get about a bit...

And the last piccy for today is the entrance to 'The Den'  looking like it's ready for a tidy up before a railway book and single malt...Happy Days!

Attempt at continuity?

In the first picture look behind the grounded van and notice the abrupt end of the bridge...

Now look at the Photo below and see my attempt at blending it around...

The Photo below show what happened when I removed the tender buffers and reamed the holes, Then replace the buffers so as to get the loco closer coupled to the tender...On the tightest curve I still have about 1 mm clearance and the fall plate sits better....Result?

if you look closely you will see the buffer?
