Another day and some more done...
After a couple of days when the paint has hardened I will gently try to
flat the paint with some fine emery that is well used so it should be
gentle with the surface..

I want a BR push-pull coach...
As for the most my layout in the den is end 2 end, unless I want to run
in a new loco. So having got rid of my two BR ex GWR Auto coaches I now a
BR/ ex LMS type push-pull coach. So after a bit of research here is my
effort...Starting with a Used Bachmann suburban brake from Flebay...Oft
we jolly well go...
I made a few templates from plastic card before I thought it looked right.
The camera shows me where I need to trim a little...
The supports for the Visor/shade thingy's ...
Now the Visor/shade thingy's fitted...
And now the little extra strengtheners above the Visor/shade thingy's
Well that's if for now, Watch this space...

Giving the absence of plastic tube or rod I opted for Bamboo Skewers, chamferd and drilled. And using brass etching scrap and wire made couple of bottle barras'
The guage is made from brass beading wire and filled with a dot of Glue and Glaze.

Scratch building on the Fan...
After I emptied my off cuts box and decided to have a go at building a small works...And this is my effort so far...
When working with Wills sheets, I never throw any left over bits and pieces away. ie: the gable around the gibbet is made up of 6 pieces and the whole roof area's are made up from 8 pieces...
The windows are glazing bars from a brass fret...
The wagon is kit built, I think it's a Parkside Dundas?

final resting place...Nothing is set in stone. It is still work in
progress

Pottering on the Fan...
Well, There has not been a great deal happening on the layout's, Just
mainly pottering about. But one thing I did do is to make a short single
fiddle for the shunting fan.
The test run gets the thumbs up. It's just about right for this size of project...
The next thing is to sort out power for lighting...me thinks...
I just thought I would throw this one in as a different point of view.....
I thought you may like this view as the tramp tends to get about a bit...
And the last piccy for today is the entrance to 'The Den' looking like it's ready for a tidy up before a railway book and single malt...Happy Days!
